The Dragon Boat Festival,or Duanwu Jie,is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, typically in late May or early June. It's a time for family, community, and festive activities, including dragon boat races and eating zongzi (rice dumplings). The festival is associated with the legend of Qu Yuan, a poet and official who drowned himself in the Miluo River to protest corruption.
